Humphrey joined the rafts for 'Carry on Rafting' along the River Thames to help raise money for WaterAid. Although he wasn't too sure whether he was in 'Carry On Doctor' or 'Carry On Cleo'..

The Trail 100 event aims to place groups of between four and seven people on the summits of 100 of the UK's finest peaks (as selected by Trail magazine) between midday and 2.00 p.m. on Saturday 7 June 2008. Humphrey – always eager to accept a challenge like this will be climbing Ben More (which translated means ‘Big Hill’) at a height of 966m. Ben More on Mull is the only Munro on an island other than Skye. It is described as a splendid mountain with narrow ridges and some scrambling opportunities…. |

Rain was due for the big day and despite undertaking months of gruelling training Humphrey was not looking forward to running 26 miles and 385 yards as a soggy camel…

Again, making sure that every effort is made to be the fittest camel at the 2008London Marathon Humphrey pays a visit to his local swimming club to get a few fitness ‘hints and tips’ from the swimmers.

Even though I’m a ‘veteran’ race-going camel I have been training every week since the start of the year for the London Marathon it’s always good to get a bit more training in to make sure that I keep the edge over some of my fellow race goers. So I though what better than to pay a visit to a circuit class at a local gym to keep the camel in tip-top condition !

It’s about time Humphrey got back out amongst the running crowd and what better race to do it than the Goring 10k & Reading Half Marathon. These are races that Humphrey uses to warm up for the London Marathon… they are good races to run and this year was no exception…and Mustafa joined in too !
